Cytomel For Hypothyroidism
Cytomel is a thyroid hormone which contains synthetically manufactured
liothronine sodium. It resembles the natural hormone tricodide-thyronine (T3).
A normal thyroid produces two hormones one is L-thyroxine (T4) and the other
T3. Cytomel is the synthetic equivalent of T3 and it causes the same processes
in the body as if the thyroid were to produce more of the hormone. These
hormones are important when considering weight loss approaches.
One thing that is interesting is T3 is much stronger and more effective then
T4, which is why Cytomel is more effective then other thyroid medications that
are mainly T4 compounds. Cytomel is not only used to treat hypothyroidism but
also obesity, metabolic disorders and fatigue. This product does in fact help
with weight loss.
