Synaptol for ADHD - Product Review

Synaptol is a homeopathic remedy used to treat ADHD. This article reviews the benefits of usage, the active and supportive ingredients in Synaptol, provides instructions on proper usage, possible side effects, and known drug interactions.

*Note: ProgressiveHealth.com does not carry Synaptol. The following review is simply for informational purposes.

Synaptol is an OTC homeopathic remedy used for ADHD. It contains all-natural ingredients that can improve mental focus and attention span in ADHD patients.

Synaptol is a safe and effective alternative for popular stimulant ADHD medications such as Ritalin and Adderall. Because it contains natural ingredients, there are far fewer side effects with Synaptol.

All of the ingredients in Synaptol are found in the HPUS (Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of United States) which is a compendium of homeopathic remedies approved by the FDA. This remedy contains no alcohol, gluten, or sugar.

Ingredients of Synaptol

There are four kinds of ingredients in Synaptol: the active ingredients, the supportive ingredients, the additives, and the solvents.

Synaptol uses a special ionic organic mineral complex and purified water as solvents. This combination is called an oligotherapeutic water base.

The additives in Synaptol are 0.1% Potassium Sorbate and a Neurotransmitter complex. The neurotransmitter complex is also likely to be an active ingredient to help increase the levels of essential neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and acetylcholine in the brain.

The inactive ingredients contained in Synaptol include Litsea Cubeba, Aesculus Hippocastanum, Madia Elegans, Mentha Piperita, Myosotis Sylvatica, Ranunculus Occidentalis, and Scleranthus Annuus.

These are also homeopathic compounds serving supportive roles in the medication. Together, these are called Homeopathic Flower Essences.

The active ingredients in Synpatol are Aconitum Ferox, Adrenalium, Apis Mellifica, Argentum Nitricum, Avena Sativa, Baptisia Tinctoria, Cochlearia Armoracia, Phosphorus, Medorrhinum, Sumbulus Moschatus, Scutellaria Laterifolia, and Viola Odorata.

These are responsible for most of the therapeutic benefits of Synaptol.

Each of the homeopathic ingredients of Synaptol is included in three concentrations. Each ingredient is diluted to 10X, 30X, and 100X potencies which are added in equal volumes.

Classification of Synaptol Ingredients

The homeopathic ingredients in Synaptol can be classified according to the symptoms of ADHD for which they provide relief. These ingredients can improve one or more of the following symptoms: difficulty concentrating or listening; impulsiveness and disorganization; inattention; forgetfulness and inability to follow directions; hyperactivity and fidgeting; and difficulty reading and writing.

This classification clearly shows how Synaptol can help ADHD children perform better in school as well as in social engagements.

How to Use Synaptol

Synaptol is supplied as a liquid. It should be removed from the bottle with an included dropper. It is taken two times daily.

A dose of Synaptol is taken with one full squeeze of the dropper. This contains 1 ml of the homeopathic mixture and should be added to 8 – 12 oz. of purified, non-chlorinated water. This is stirred before drinking.

Alternatively, you can dispense Synaptol from the dropper directly into your mouth.

Children who weigh less than 50 lb. should be given half this dose.

Synaptol should be stored in a cool, dry place away from metals and electrical devices.

How Effective Is Synaptol?

Homeopathic medicine requires tailoring a remedy to the specific symptoms of each person. This form of individualized treatment is difficult to fully achieve with a single medication.

However, Synaptol does a great job of covering as many ADHD patients as possible. This is why it includes a lot of homeopathic remedies that are proven to work for the most common symptoms of ADHD.

In the treatment of ADHD, homeopathy has been shown to provide relief for 79% of sufferers whereas conventional medicine achieves a success rate of 65%.

Examining the response of those who have used Synaptol to treat their ADHD symptoms, the medication meets the success rate of homeopathic remedies.

However, a few people reported experiencing no relief or even experiencing some side effects such as stomach upset. Even then, Synaptol got a lot of strong positive feedback from people who have seen dramatic improvements when placed on the homeopathic medication.
